The Institute of Development Management (IDM) and Botswana Association of Local Authorities (BALA) have entered into a partnership to facilitate training of local government structures. This follows the launch and roll-out of the IDM Centre for Local Governance, a product developed by IDM for councilors, council administration, land boards, tribal authorities as well as district and village development structures.
Realizing there is a significant alignment in their mandate, last week IDM and BPSC entered into a partnership and signed a five year Memorandum of Understanding to collaborate in several areas of mutual interest. The two institutions will jointly develop and deliver short programmes geared towards capacitating individuals in their professional careers. IDM and BPSC have also agreed to leverage on each other’s resources by sharing some of their facilities including library, training rooms, and the cafeteria.

The Institute of Development Management (IDM) and Botswana Council of NGOs (BOCONGO) this week signed an agreement to collaborate on areas of mutual interest. IDM will provide BOCONGO membership with in-service training to equip them with the necessary competencies and skills to deliver their mandate of conscientizing and stimulating public interest towards compliance with international standards of good governance.
The two have signed a five year partnership to jointly conceptualize, plan and deliver training programmes relevant to BOCONGO constituency.
IDM Eswatini recently hosted the Acting Honourable Minister of Public Service Moses Vilakati where he met with staff members and management. He was accompanied by the Ministry of Public Service PS Tsabedze who also serves as board member at IDM.
He mourned the loss of the former Minister Christian Ntshangase who was passionate about the Institute and its role to upskill and educate bridging the gap for in-service and pre service students.

Country Director of the Institute of Development Management (IDM), Dr Onalenna Seitio-Kgokgwe, has been bestowed with an international title of AFRICA WOMAN LEADER, an award which identifies and celebrates Women Leaders.

On the 23rd November 2020, a youth-owned gift shop, Ina Lebe extended a kind hand to the Institute of Development Management and donated face shields to the Institute. The donation comes in the wake of the CoronaVirus pandemic, which has not spared any country around the world.
Inalebe offered 130 face shields to IDM to offer as additional personal protective equipment to its frontline staff who are mainly lecturers, SHE Officers and General Assistants to adhere to the set health standards.
