Intercampus Games 2024

The inaugural day of the 2024 IDM Intercampus games was a combination of an  electrifying and thrilling sensation  as students from the campuses tusseled  it out to secure a space as early birds in the competition  that ends on the 27th March. 

 

The Bank of Botswana sporting grounds  echoed with sounds of cheering and friendly chit-chat, creating an ambiance of a healthy and heart+warming competition. 

 

IDM Botswana hosts 2024 Intercampus Games

The Institute of Development Management (IDM) is happy to announce the relaunch of the Intercampus games. This year's games will be hosted by Botswana Campus under the theme: Dzo Pombonoka; Dia Ntsha!
 
The event, which affords students the opportunity to interact outside classroom, engaging in both indoor and outdoor games, is scheduled for 25th - 27th March 2024 in Gaborone at the Bank of Botswana sporting grounds.
 
IDM Regional Director, Samkelo Lushaba says students are an important component of IDM 2022 - 2027 strategy.

IPM AND IDM UNITE: A STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIP FOR HUMAN CAPITAL DEVELOPMENT

 

 

In a move aimed at bolstering human capital in Eswatini, The Institute of People

Management (IPM) and The Institute of Development Management (IDM) have joined

hands in a groundbreaking partnership set to redefine the landscape of talent

cultivation. This partnership was officially launched on the 29 th of February 2024 at the

IDM Auditorium. The atmosphere buzzed with anticipation and excitement as industry

representatives, practitioners, and stakeholders gathered to witness the dawn of a new

Business strategist, Oteng Veron Mosalakatane shared insights at the IDM Staff Development retreat in January 2024 and his deliberation anchored on the Business Excellence Model, which he described as an integrated management system consisting of key excellence principles and processes that build and sustain a high performing organisation.
The fundamental notion underlying this management system, he said, is that organisations should strive to attain operational excellence in order to achieve organisational excellence.

Dr Kgomotso Jongman delivers lecture on mindset change & Resilience

As the tripartite convened at Ave Maria Pastoral Centre in Gaborone for Staff development following a lengthy hiatus, University of Botswana Lecturer and motivational speaker, Dr. Kgomotso Jongman delivered a powerful and transformational session on Mindset change.
Unpacking the Mindset shift Dr Jongman explained that Mindset develops out of your personal background mostly. How you were raised may help you to have confidence, self-esteem and a positive self-concept.

IDM hosts staff development retreat

As the journey towards celebrating its Golden Jubilee commences, IDM hosted teams from its campuses in Lesotho, Eswatini, Gaborone and Francistown to a Staff Development retreat in January 2024. The event connected teams and enabled them to bond as one entity whilst discussing sustainable ways of moving the brand forward.
 

IDM trains Eswatini Electricity Company

The Institute of Development Management Eswatini is currently training officials from Eswatini Electricity Company on Customer Service. The 5 day session is led by Mr Kabo Muyaluka & Ms Lillian Moremi from our IDM Botswana sister campus who are in the country to facilitate this highly engaging course for EEC. Topics covered include Understanding customer classification, Developing Customer value Proposition, Building Customer Relationships, Customer Retention, Judging and determining the value of data for customers.

IDM commemorates Customs day

IDM Eswatini took part in the commemoration of International Customs day held at the Eswatini Revenue Service offices in Ezulwini on Friday. Representing IDM was Sibusiso Msibi a consultant in the Business Development Unit. The Institute of Development Management (IDM) was established in 1974 as a Regional Management Development Institution under the leadership of three Governments; Botswana, Lesotho and Eswatini.

IDM conducts staff wellness and team building

As the end of the year draws nearer, employers take their staff out to play, relax and unwind. On the 1st December 2023, IDM Francistown and Gaborone campus teams were engaged in wellness and team building activities.
 
The day also coincided with the World AIDS Day as the Institute joined the international community in commemoration of lives lost to the pandemic as well as supporting those living with it.
