Held in Gaborone at Ditshupo Hall, the career fair brought students, tertiary education providers and other stakeholders under one roof for ease of engagement and networking.

IDM has officially launched a Beginners Tax Certificate in collaboration with Eswatini Revenue Service today at the IDM's emporium hall.
The Beginners Tax Certificate programme is for anyone interested in learning about the principles of domestic taxes, including tax compliance in Eswatini. It is billed to be a 12 weeks programme delivered on Saturdays on campus. It is safe to say, applications are officially open for this programme. Happy learning and start thinking ahead!
IDM hosted a student orientation session for new students enrolling in Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS).
CIPS is a professional programme recognized globally for promotion and development of high standards in the field of procurement and supply chain management.
IDM Management welcomed learners to the auspicious event and also provided them with insights on campus operations with the aim of exposing them to the learning environment at the campus.
IDM has recently completed a two (2) day workshop training for Limkokwing University of Creative Technology(LUCT) Management under Leadership on strategy implementation.
As we all know, managers are charged with key responsibilities to oversee optimal utilization of resources such as budgets, facilities, time, people and expertise.
As such there is need for managers to acquire and hone their leadership and management skills to ensure that the organization they lead is successful and realizes its mandate as well as to achieve its set strategic goals.
IDM just recently completed a 5 day short course training in Project Management for Uhuru Lesotho staff members.
Project management has proven to be the most effective method of delivering products within cost, schedule, and resource constraints.
This course gives participants the skills to ensure projects are completed on time and on budget while giving the user the product/service they expect.
The Institute of Development Management welcomed new students during the orientation day that was held at the institution’s auditorium. The January incoming class is comprised of students in the Human Resource Management department and Business & Information Resources Management department. The IDM orientation 2023 was aimed at acquainting new students with each other and the larger campus community, including faculty and staff.
IDM has signed two Mou’s in December 2022 which will be operational in the coming new year. These agreements fall under the Public Health Management department at IDM Eswatini. The first was with the Ministry of Agriculture which will be
for the usage of labs for research and development purposes. The Ministry mentioned that it currently has 2 labs one for food safety and the other for food technology. PS Sydney Simelane said there was need for quality control as we do not want to experiment with people’s lives.
Friday 18th November 2022 was a special day at IDM Francistown Campus. Our Early Childhood programme's SOS kindergarten school graduated 26 learners in readiness for Standard One in 2023.
The graduation event, which was themed “Nurture for Success” was held at Adanansonia Hotel.
IDM and SOS are in partnership to provide practical training for Early Childhood learners as part of their preparation to enter the world of work.
The graduates are the second group to be released to the market following the one that graduated in 2021.
Alongside long-term courses, IDM Eswatini offers short-term courses that are designed to help address skills gaps and enhance their proffessions. IDM has conducted two (2) short-term courses in October for which employees from various organizations have enrolled. These courses are namely, Safety Health and Environmental (SHE) Representative and First- Aid respectively. These courses were aimed at enabling learners to understand the objectives and statutory requirements pertaining to health and safety in the workplace and puts them in a better position to save lives.
The IDM Regional Office hosted a Stakeholder engagement seminar yesterday at Avani Lesotho.
The aim of this auspicious event was to engage with decision makers in the parastatal and private sector on issues surrounding skills gaps in the market through consultation means and coming up with remedies to mitigate these shortages through IDM service offerings.
