The Institute of Development Management shares its deepest sympathies and condolences with His Majesty King Mswati III and the Nation of the Kingdom of Eswatini following the passing of Prime Minister Ambrosse Mandvulo Dlamini and The Kingdom's Minister of Public Service, Hon Christian Ntshangase.

We will remember Prime Minister Dlamini and Minister Ntshangase for their great affection towards the Institute during their term in office. Our vivid memories with the Prime Minister are when he assured us his support and encouragement during the time we paid him a courtesy visit in April 2019.

"The purpose of our visit was to congratulate the Prime Minister for his appointment and reaffirm our commitment and readiness to develop a talent pool that will serve the Government and the people of the Kingdom of Eswatini. And in his response, the Prime Minister pledged his Government’s support and commitment for the success of the Institute," revealed IDM Regional Director, Mr Richard Malikongwa.

He further shared memories of the Institute with departed Public Service Minister whom he described as a strong pillar of support for IDM in the Kingdom. Mr Malikongwa said Minister Ntshangase fully embraced IDM and was forever supportive. “Indeed we lost a father, an ambassador and a friend.”
Minister Ntshangase was the keynote speaker at IDMs 12th Joint Graduation Ceremony in 2018 hosted by the Eswatini campus, where he said in part:

“IDM is known to produce proficient and skilled men and women who are sought-after by institutions of repute the world-over. It is important to remind you that when our forefathers initiated the idea to create this humble institution, there was dire need to develop a pool of talent which at the time was much needed to provide service to the people in their then small nations. Through research and consultancy, IDM is also contributing immensely on matters of policy formulation in our three countries, which is an area we should commend them for because their findings assist governments to make informed decisions to run their economies.”
In 2019, Minister Ntshangase joined a high powered delegation that graced the 13th IDM Joint Graduation Ceremony in Maseru, Lesotho.

Chairperson of IDM Local Board, Ms Goitseone Naledi Mosalakatane said:

"The loss of these great leaders has indeed created a void in our hearts as a brand that has been part of the social fabric of our three nations. We however find solace in the legacy they built for the Kingdom nation. Rest in peace, Sons of the soil', Lalani ngekuthula! Robalang ka Kgotso, Robalang ka kagiso, you left behind able countrymen and women who will continue the race."

May both  of our fathers find eternal rest in the Lord!
