IDM Eswatini visits Mozambique

The Country Director of the Eswatini campus led a delegation to Mozambique in February to meet with officials from Instituto medio de ciencias documentais an Institute based in Maputo.
The institute is a public institution which currently has about 100 students in its care. It has about 20 teachers working there on a part time basis and 3 on full time. Joining IDM was a representative from the embassy of Eswatini in Mozambique Mr Dlamini who said there are numerous opportunities for partnerships between Eswatini based institutions and those in Mozambique.
 
The Institute in Maputo was primarily interested in programmes in archives and records management as they look after government records and also courses in IT. The need for Portuguese lessons was discussed as to teach one would need to be conversant of the Portuguese language. The meeting served as an introduction to the Mozambican market with prospects of being introduced to other larger institutions in the area. This was a big step for IDM as the Mozambican market is part of its growth strategy for 2022 and beyond.
