IDM APPOINTS DR MOEKETSI J LETELE AS NEW LESOTHO COUNTRY DIRECTOR

Dr Letele is a successful professional with 18 years of experience in Corporate Governance, Business Administration, Education and Quality Assurance in Lesotho. 
 
He joins IDM from the Council on Higher Education (CHE) where he served as Acting Director of Quality Assurance and Standards. He has served in the position of Principal Quality Assurance and Standards Officer.
 
Dr Letele has worked for the National University of Lesotho where he was a part-time lecturer. Prior to that, he was Director of Academic Quality Assurance at Limkokwing University of Creative Technology (LUCT), overseeing the overall quality, design and delivery of academic programmes as well as quality assurance of the operations of the institution. Among the executive positions and other responsibilities held, Dr Letele is former Executive Director at Company Export Promotion Arena of Lesotho; he was a member of the National Manpower Development Council (NMDC) of Lesotho and served in the Selection Committee of the Council. He also served as a non-executive director for some enterprises and NGOs. In 2019 to 2020, he served as a Council Appointee in the Higher Education Quality Assurance Committee (HEQAC), a committee of the CHE and served as an Academic Advisor in the Faculty Industry Advisory Forum of Botho University, Lesotho campus. He is a member of the Institute of Directors South Africa.
 
He holds Doctor of Philosophy in Business Administration, specializing in Human Resources Management & Organizational Development; Master of Financial Management, Master of Business Administration (MBA) in International Business (specialized in HR), Master of Education, Bachelor of Education in Psychology of Education, Postgraduate Diploma in Labour Law (Arbitration and Conciliation), and Bachelor of Science with Education, which were obtained from various universities. In addition, he attained professional training in quality assurance and educational planning.
