SENIOR LECTURER – COMPUTER NETWORK ENGINEERING (3 YEARS FIXED TERM CONTRACT POSITION)

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Senior Lecturer will be responsible for dissemination of
technical knowledge and expertise in the Computer Network
Engineering programme field by means of teaching as required,
delivering professional training, engaging in consultancy
assignments, and conducting applied research aligned with the
institution’s mandate.
KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
•
Prepare materials and lectures on scheduled IDM courses
for own and other departments,
•
Develops, designs and delivers non-scheduled courses and
training programmes
•
Develops course documents and assessment criteria based
on approved Quality Systems
•
Develops new courses and products in line with identified
trends and client needs
•
Management Consultancy and Applied Research
•
Responsible for Course Administration, Moderation and
Assessment
•
Undertake any other relevant duties as required by the
Supervisor
QUALIFICATIONS
•
Master’s Degree in Computer Network Engineering or
relevant qualification.
•
Evaluation of qualification by Botswana Qualifications
Authority (BQA).
•
BQA accreditation as an assessor and moderator.
•
Registration with the Engineers Registration Board (ERB)
will be considered an added advantage.
EXPERIENCE
•
A minimum of five (5) years teaching experience as a lecturer
in Computer Network Engineering at college or university
level.
•
Have demonstrable evidence of conducting independent
academic research.
