Professor Rina Makgosa

Rina Makgosa is a member of IDM Local and Regional Board. She completed her PhD in 2005 at Manchester Business School, University of Manchester, United Kingdom.  She is currently employed as an Associate Professor of Marketing in the Faculty of Business, at the University of Botswana. Prof Makgosa has also served as the Head of the Department of Marketing for a period of 6 years between 2016 and 2021 where her key responsibilities were to participate in the formulation, implementation, and evaluation of the academic policies of the University, promote academic excellence in teaching, research, and service programmes as well as provide academic leadership to the Department. She has over 26 years of experience in teaching, supervision, and examination of a wide range of courses in Marketing, International Business, Masters of Business Administration as well as PhD at the university level. Her key research areas of interest are in Consumer behaviour, Marketing strategy, Branding, Entrepreneurship and Retailing.
