IDM recognizes excellence

Four young achievers who performed beyond expectations in Computer Studies, Office Procedures and Business Studies during the 2022 BGCSE were recently celebrated by the Institute of Development Management. 
 
Adolf Maiketso of Matsiloje, Tirelo Angela Boemo of Mathangwane, Leano Valela of Jakalas 1 and Chedza Tafangombe of Serowe were each presented with Tablets by IDM in recognition of their unparalleled achievement. Tafangombe is currently pursuing her A ‘Levels at Maruapula Secondary School while the others are 1st Year students at the University of Botswana, studying Bachelor of Sciences.
 
During a Meet and Greet session, IDM Botswana Country Director, Dr Theophilus Mooko said: "As an institution whose core mandate is Education, Training, Research and Consultancy, IDM has also packaged itself to be part of the social fabric in our communities. In our continued journey of Growing Great Minds, we identify and recognize talent. This is why we have seen it fit to present to you these gifts that will surely ease your learning. We can only hope that you utilize them to the fullest and that you keep them safe throughout your studies."
 
On behalf of the recipients,Tafangombe thanked IDM for the good gesture. "We are happy to be here receiving these handy Tablets which will make our learning manageable. We are also excited to be a new addition to this rich legacy of IDM. The decision to present us with these gifts is amazing, and goes to show just how big this brand is, and how grateful we are to represent it in our communities now and into the future. We encourage you to keep transforming the lives of young Batswana.
 
The IDM strategy 2022 – 2027 recognizes Millennials and Generation Z for making the controlling majority of its customer base. The segment was born into the age of technology and remains exposed to the influence of technology. Their exposure to technology coupled with the current waves of public health pandemic dictates adaptation to technology and investment in digital transformation.
