IDM OFFERS LEADERSHIP TRAINING TO ITS STUDENTS REPRESENTATIVE COUNCIL (SRC)

Student leadership is an integral part of IDM and instrumental in coordinating students issues and concerns. SRC works collectively with Management to find amicable ways of addressing issues and resolving them.
According to Dr Seitio-Kgokgwe, IDM conducts training for SRC to ensure that they execute their role with a high level of responsibility and accountability. On the 12th and 13th of September 2019, IDM conducted training for them to appreciate a lot of areas relating to students welfare and general understanding or processes.
“They were trained on areas which included Sponsorship Contracts and Communication Procedures by Department of Tertiary Education; Accreditation process by Botswana Qualification Authority; Students strikes and Rule of Law by Botswana Police; Financial Literacy and Financial Management; Leadership; Communication and Personal Branding. They also appreciated IDM strategy and how students can contribute towards achieving this strategy.
