IDM HOSTS ITS 17TH JOINT GRADUATION CEREMONY

The Institute of Development Management (IDM) held its 17th Joint Graduation Ceremony at Royal Aria in Tlokweng on the 24th of Novemver 2023. The event was thronged by multitudes from Botswana, Lesotho and Eswatini. Held under the theme: Embracing Mind-set Change: Celebrating 49 years of Regional Transformation, the ceremony saw the conferment of 1569 Degrees, Diplomas and Certificates to graduands who majestically ascended the stage to honor their achievement.
 
Keynote speaker, Assistant Minister for State President, Hon. Dumizweni Mthimkhulu commended the Institute for being instrumental in promoting international relationships through education and academic exchange in the three nations of Botswana, Lesotho and Eswatini.  
 
Hon. Mthimkhulu said IDM’s emphasis on education diplomacy has been vital for building beneficial and reciprocal relations, further shaping the landscape and contributing to the overall development of the region. 
 
During the welcome remarks, IDM Regional Director and Chief Executive, Mr Samkelo Lushaba emphasized the regional collaboration maintained by IDM, and recognized invited guests, among them IDM stakeholders, senior government officials and education partners. Among the dignitaries were delegations from Eswatini and Lesotho led by Honourable Minister of Public Service Eswatini, Mabulala Maseko and Honourable Minister of Education and Training Lesotho, Professor Ntoi Rapapa. 
The ceremony was characterized by song, dance and poetry, resonating well with the cultural heritage of the three IDM nations.
