IDM becomes part of the 10th Career Fair Road Show Expo

The Career Expo’s mandated was to expose high school learners to offerings available to a host of local tertiary institutions that are available in Lesotho so that as learners leave High School, they are in a better state to make informed decisions that relate to their various careers.
This magnificent Expo draws a pool of local tertiary institution such as The National University of Lesotho, Botho University, Lerotholi Polytechnic, Limkokwing University of Creative Technology, Lesotho College of Education, Lesotho Agricultural College, IBC College, Maluti Advertist College, St. Joseph School of Nursing, Leloaleng Technical School and TSL. Moreover, South African Tertiary Institutions such as University of Limpopo, The University of Kwazulu Natal, Mangosutho University of Technology to name just a few.
The one-week long event kick started at Sofia international High School in Botha Buthe District on Monday the 18th February 2019 under the theme: ‘ITS TIME TO GO FOR GOLD’.
 It began on a high note with a roll out of over 500 learners showing up at the event which is also an equivalent of six (6) schools.
 Present also were Special guests such as the commissioner of Lesotho Revenue Authority(LRA) as well at the Min of Education Lesotho just to name a few.
One its second day, the mind blowing event proceed in the district of BEREA at Assumptions High School beginning at 08:00am Sharp where the key note speaker was Dr. Moeketsi Majoro (Lesotho’s Finance Minister). I total of 499 leaners had attended. The activity event then moved to Qachas Nek at A Local Community Hall on its third day under the moderation of BEDCO Lesotho CEO (Dr. Makatleho Mataboe). Here eleven (11) schools were present and total records of students stood 740.
 On the fourth day, the event was was hosted at Mount Toubour High School Mafeteng where only three schools were available and a total number 163 high school learners. Then later on in the day, a Gala Dinner at Thaba Bosiu Cultural Village was hosted and important guests and sponsors were invited. The even finally Closed at Manthabiseng Convention Centre on the last day on Friday 22nd Feb 2019 whereby a staggering number of 952 leaners showed up, an equivalent of 10 schools
In total 2854 Learners from five districts were addressed during the Expo road show activity
