Tsaone Magetse

Tsaone Magetse joined IDM Regional Office as the Risk and Internal Audit Manager effective 1st August 2023. She previously worked for Botswana Telecommunications Corporation where she was Internal Auditor. Tsaone is an ACCA fellow, with a Bachelor of Commerce Degree in Financial Accounting from the University of Cape Town. She honed her leadership skills by completing the Senior Leadership Development Program (SLDP) at the University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg and she is currently pursuing a Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) with the Botswana Open University (BOU).
 
Tsaone has over 12 years’ experience in financial auditing, assurance, and risk management, and before joining BTC she worked as an Internal Auditor for Botswana Qualifications Authority (BQA), Financial Auditor for the Office of the Auditor General (OAG) and has further served as Auditor at Grant Thornton Botswana. Adept at translating complex findings into clear and compelling report writing, reflecting commitment to clarity and transparency, Tsaone excels in governance and internal controls review to ensure optimal operational efficiency.
 
Her role at IDM involves monitoring, reviewing, and verifying the activities and operations of the Institute to ensure effectiveness and compliance with internal control systems and procedures to enhance efficiency, reduce potential risk, protect, and ensure optimal utilization of assets.
