Mr. Reuben Motshwari Zilwa

Reuben Zilwa is an IDM Senior Consultant with over 23 years’ experience in the management of records, archives and information from both public and parastatals in Botswana.   He was the Corporate Records Manager for Botswana Telecommunication Corporation Limited (BTCL) for 12 years. His achievements include the creation of well-resourced data room for BTCL which aided the subsequent privatization of the public enterprise. He also established a Knowledge Management Department at BTCL, one of the first in Botswana. He has experience in setting up systems for managing semi-current records (Records Centres) and non- current records (Archives), which he obtained during his stint with Botswana National Archives and Records Services. Reuben is a member of the TM Forum, a body dealing with best practice in the area of telecommunication processes. He has Master of Arts (MA), Archives and Records Management (London), Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) (UB), Senior Management Development Program (SMDP), (Stellenbosch Business School), PRINCE 2, Foundation (Innolead), Post Graduate Diploma, Knowledge and Information Systems Management (PGD, KISM), (Stellenbosch University) – On going.
