Students Representative Council (SRC)

Students Representative Council (SRC) GENERAL INFORMATION
The Student Representative Council (SRC) is an elected body of student leaders whose mandate is to represent the interests of students according to the SRC constitution. The SRC forms integral part of management structure to address all the issues affecting the students. The SRC is responsible for organizing all student activities with the support of the Students Services Department, to guide and plan students activities amongst the student body and organizing social functions and schemes for the benefit of the students.
IDM SRC‘s mandate is to address and advocate for the interests and welfare of the students body through the support of the Students Services Department..
SRC is also involved in the Staff-Students Consultative Committee (SSCC) responsible for building a working relationship between staff and students in improving quality services to the student’s community.
Students Grievances      

  • The IDM governing board is provided with monthly reports on students activities for all the issues affecting students to be addressed
  • Campus Management team is conducting monthly meetings for all the units for business continuity and to address students issues.
  • SRC holds meetings with the Students services manager to escalate students’ grievances to the relevant departments. The Department also organise Students Staff consultative (SSC) meetings every month with heads of departments. The Agenda of the meeting includes substantive items like academic issues, Security and Facilities, welfare issues and other pertinent issues
