Our Country observes August as women's Month. IDM recently celebrated this month through hosting a women engagement forum with the IDM women's community comprising of Staff and Students.
Guest at this gallant event were Adv. Lineo Tsikoane, a renowned activist on human rights issues as well as representatives from EGPAF Lesotho. The Event was graciously opened by IDM Country director; Dr. Retselisitsoe Nko who highlighted that women play a key role in the development of a society; as the saying goes 'Mosali o tsoara thipa ka bohaleng'.

''Women are natural care givers and nurtures. For one to become entrusted to lead a nation, one must first perfect leadership at household level. Women are often drivers of households but for a long time, they have been segregated to partake in national development issues'.
In her speech which was engaging as well as interactive, Adv. Tsikoane deliberated on three(3) important key issues:
- Who are you when Happy?
- Who are you when Scared?
- Who are you when in Need?
The guest speaker closed off by encouraging women to be supportive to each other and to stop pulling one another down.
EGPAF also gave advice to young women on how to take care of their health and preventive measures against HIV/AIDS disease.
The event was then closed off by IDM Registrar Mme Makhosi Hlalele who thanked participants for their attendance including guests and further commended EGPAF for the job they do for IDM Community through the campus Clinic
